Where God Builds People

In Reach

Mount Pisgah Men's Ministry is designed to build men's faith and a solid relationship with Christ.  We engage men in activities and provide them resources to bring them closer to God and to be positive influences in their homes, their places of work, their community, and in church.  Our goals within the ministry is to develop each member to be an effective man and leader within his home & the church, to determine their purpose in life by understanding God's purpose for them; to provide help to Mt. Pisgah Missionary Baptist Church and to develop young men spiritually as they grow into maturity.

Membership is for those between the ages of 30 to 50.  The focus is for spiritual growth and Christians helping others seek everlasting spiritual nourishment.  Unite with other ministries and help provide goods or services to needy community-based organizations such as the Gilead House.  We will use our spiritual gifts to enhance the lifestyle of others while at the same time sharing the many blessings God has provided us with.

To encourage members and families of Mt. Pisgah to start/continue to be healthy and realize this is a lifestyle change/endeavor.  To use our Family Life Center to help facilitate many of the activities related to good health standards.

CIA (Christians in Action) MINISTRY

To live in harmony with each other.  Cultivate relationships that's God focused and biblically based.  Let there be no divisions at this church rather that we be of one mind, united in thought and purpose.  Each member of this ministry should know what their spiritual gifts are and therefore, be serving in that gift.

This ministry was implemented to assist newly released prisoners/inmates find a place to live, obtain employment, receive medical/dental and vision help.  Mt. Pisgah is attempting to become a "resource" that can connect released individuals to a church or a community-based organization that can and will help them get settled in a particular community.

This Ministry helps marriages stick to God's Word, be a resource to married couples, address issues that married couples have, work with healthy marriages that depend on the Word of God for direction and use them as a model for others and invest in marriages.

Mt. Pisgah Missionary Baptist Church Women's Ministry's purpose is to empower, strengthen and encourage women to reach their full potential in God by helping women gain knowledge and understanding of God.  Build trust worthy relationships between women and help them develop a closer relationship with god.  The ministry provides opportunities for women to identify and use their unique, God given gifts for the purpose of harvesting other women for God's kingdom.  Additionally, this ministry supports the goals and objectives of the pastor.

The goal of this ministry is to promote the Pastor's vision "Where God Builds People" by increasing and keeping the Mount's membership, providing baskets for the sick and shut-ins, give a love token to members in the hospital and for bereavements, and assist other ministries as needed.

To minister weekly to the homebound, sick and shut-in members of the Mt. Pisgah Missionary Baptist Church, to provide spiritual and emotional support to the homebound, sick and shut-in.  Further, to provide the same support services to the extended families of Mt. Pisgah members.  Members of this ministry are to talk with, pray for, listen to, encourage with compassion and mercy to those whose health and spirits are failing.  Provide a CD/DVD of our worship service to those who have the means to view/listen to them.  Leave cards, pictures, poems, and other appropriate inexpensive items to residents on special occasions, such as birthdays.

Visitation duties are divided into two groups - Nursing Homes and Hospitals.  The entire ministry will assist with the needs of the Loving Hands Daycare Service.  This ministry will mentor young female girls, especially those who are new members to Mt. Pisgah.  Members of this ministry will assist on a weekly basis with baptism and communion.  Additionally, these members are to support the needs of the pastor and be available for special assignments.

Mount Pisgah’s Seasoned Saints Ministry is minister to the needs of our senior members.  The Seasoned Saints’ Ministry is open to all those who are 63 and older, seeks to honor God by providing opportunities for senior adults to grow spiritually; fellowship with one another and reach lost and unchurched senior adults in the community; encourages our senior adults not to "retire" in their service to Christ, but to share their wisdom and knowledge with the next generation.  The S.S.M. also keeps track of social, economical, physical and other benefits that are available for seniors.
